Phillip Nangle is a musician, instrument builder and artist from South Africa now living in Italy. Mbira Karimba is his instrumental and orchestral work recorded in 1997 in Cape Town. The music is performed on the traditional Southern African instruments that he builds. Music arranged and performed by Phillip Nangle. David Tomsu plays flute and some of the panpipes on Chamutengure. Cover art titled "Lion on the Path" painted by Phillip Nangle in 2001.
